In a comparison study of the use of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) PET/CTÂ vs. bone scintigraphy to detect bone lesion in patients with high-risk prostate cancer, researchers found that 18F-PSMA-PET/CT imaging findings resulted in treatment changes, due to up- or downstaging of disease, for almost 20% of patients in the trial.
